In My Daughter's Shoes (New Poem) 5/3/12

Sometimes I forget what it's like to be small. Sometimes I forget what it's like to hear "No!" "No!" "No!" "Stop it!" "Do you want to go to your room!" all the time. "Just wait until you have kids".  That's what my mom said to me one time when I was getting on her nerves.  Of course I was about 12 or 13 at the time but I think it applies to kids or young adults of all ages.   (Mom you were right) Sometimes kids can be a pain in the ah....um....butt. But for the most part kids are sweet, cute,  and so darn smart. Sometimes you just sit there in complete  awe at how nice, kind, and lovable they can be. Sometimes my daughter reminds me of  what it really means to be an adult. I can't fit into her shoes but she can sure fit into mine. Sometimes she's more of an adult than I am. I need to fit into her shoes more often. I love you so much Lucy Jane Clouse. Thank you for being....you. Lucy:  age 3...

Solving Modern Day Problems (New Poem) 5/29/11

Too many thoughts inside the mind. Solving modern day problems that in reality aren't  really problems at all. Stop and think. We create everything except ourselves. Hi Mom. Hi Dad. Hello Krishna. Even if you do not exist, it doesn't really matter in the end. But what if it does, what if it does matter? So I say again. Hello, Krishna. Hello, Krishna. Not afraid to die. Not afraid to die. I'm sure it's happened many times before. Money doesn't matter. (It's only paper) In the end what can we take with us. (Nothing) In the end what matters most. In the end we all know the answer to that. (Smile and say hello to Love)   Right now it seems so simple. We have everything that we need. We have so much, should we give some of it away? Think about it. We are blessed and we don't even know it,  there is no reason to complain.

Halloween Night (New Poem) 10/16/10

Spooky masks and sweet candy corn treats.   Hell is unleashed on Earth for one night and for  one night only we dress up and become someone else.   We become vampires and zombies.   Wookies and Jedi knights.   Super heroes and creepy psychotic killers.   A hockey mask.   A sharp razored glove.   A white mask with black lifeless eyes.   Known mostly by their first names that  will send chills down your spine. Jason.   Freddy.   Michael.   Halloween night is the only night that we want  to be scared to death, but only if it doesn't really kill us.

A Tribute To Beer (New Poem) 10/10/10

A sip of beer. A bottle....no wait. One, two, three or more bottles of beer. We love beer. We want beer and it is beer that we shall have. Our minds are open. Late at night and letting ourselves go. Wandering into a world of entertainment and erotic fantasies. Stumbling into crazy dreams of uncertain but possible realities. Discovering ourselves for the first, second, or maybe even third time. Our eyes are closed. Our hearts are open. Drifting. Drifting. Drifting. Drifting further and further away off to sleep. Just sleep. Just sleep. Just....ZZZZ....ZZZ....ZZ....Z....zzzz....zzz....zz....z.

Still Summer-time (New Poem) 8/15/10

Don't complain. Don't worry. Summer-time is still alive and well. There's no time for useless fights and silly arguments . The hot sun still shines down and makes us squint our eyes.

Be Fun And Goofy (New Poem) 8/14/10

Again into the past. Separate but a complete individual. Crazy info commercials. Love at every turn. My girl beside me. High on this little piece of life. Also high on other stuff. Coming down in a calm and orderly fashion. A little smile. A sly, smart, sexy smile. Waiting for us to be completely naked. In a dream? No, not this time. Right now, it's for real. Let go once more. Be fun and goofy. Everyone must feel like this at one time or another.

Crickets (New Poem) 8/14/10

I can't stop laughing. Our words no longer matter. Yoda speaks and we understand perfectly. Time begs us to stop and stand still but we cover our ears and do not listen. A few crickets are chirping outside.

Poetic Trash (New Poem) 5/19/10

More blank pages is what you will find inside this tiny little notebook meant for writing down poetry and other important stuff that matters. But look inside, flip through the pages. What do you see? Absolutely nothing. Not a damn word. Why is that you say? Well, it appears that Writer's Block might be here to stay for good this time. But for your sake and mostly mine, I hope not.
