Music Playlist (New Poem)

Image
In more ways than one music  still brings us together.  The records  continue to spin.  We still dance and  sing out loud.  Now more than ever.

More Time (New Poem)

Image
No use in trying to capture it. A spark, yes....just a spark. Just like life....it is gone in a flash. No more time to breathe, no more  time to love, no more time to create.   But maybe we can find the time.   Y es, maybe we can. Maybe we can find the time to breathe. Maybe we can find the time to love. Maybe we can find the time to create.

Continue (New Poem)

Image
So much anger yet also so much love. Death takes us all down. Yet somehow we continue to smile.

Foot Killers (a bit of everyday wisdom)

Image
My girlfriend once said that socks were like prisons for your feet.  Feet prisons.  So, if socks are like feet prisons then that makes steel toe shoes foot killers.  Yes, foot killers because after wearing steel toed shoes for eight hours or more a day they start to kill your feet.

Suntans & Sunburns (New Poem)

Swimsuits. PBR's. Rum & Cokes. Sand. Suntans. Sunburns. Lust. Love. Sex. Sex. Sex. Boats. Beer. Barefeet. Seafood. Saltwater. Summer-time. Fun. Fun. Fun.

Happy Devil (New Poem)

Image
Why should we fear the darkness? Embrace the true nature of man and woman. Total Freedom. Complete Creative Passion. Laughter. Happiness. Love. There is no need to hide. All of us, together. Finding knowledge in the ways of living.   (Dedicated to Anton LaVey founder of the Church Of Satan)

Ode To Shark Week (New Poem) 8/18/12

Image
Beautiful creatures they are. Both loved and feared by many. They haunt our dreams and  sometimes  we wake up screaming. But after all is said and done we do have a choice. We can always stay out of the water, but we seldom do. We know the risks but take them anyway. Even if our deepest fear swims right below us.

In My Daughter's Shoes (New Poem) 5/3/12

Sometimes I forget what it's like to be small. Sometimes I forget what it's like to hear "No!" "No!" "No!" "Stop it!" "Do you want to go to your room!" all the time. "Just wait until you have kids".  That's what my mom said to me one time when I was getting on her nerves.  Of course I was about 12 or 13 at the time but I think it applies to kids or young adults of all ages.   (Mom you were right) Sometimes kids can be a pain in the ah....um....butt. But for the most part kids are sweet, cute,  and so darn smart. Sometimes you just sit there in complete  awe at how nice, kind, and lovable they can be. Sometimes my daughter reminds me of  what it really means to be an adult. I can't fit into her shoes but she can sure fit into mine. Sometimes she's more of an adult than I am. I need to fit into her shoes more often. I love you so much Lucy Jane Clouse. Thank you for being....you. Lucy:  age 3...

Three Simple Words (New Poem) 6/19/11

These little moments. Dreaming of the perfect love. Right here, it's here with that special someone (Right here). You, it's all about you. Three simple words mean everything right now. So I will say "I love you". "I love you". "I love you".
