Star Wars: Episode One in 3D (Mini-Blog Essay)
Darth Maul A few days ago I saw "The Phantom Menace" in 3-D. It was awesome. Although it is not my favorite "Star Wars" movie the 3-D version did make the movie much more enjoyable to watch. They did change thank goodness the puppet Yoda in the original version with a much better CGI Yoda so it now looks normal again. However Jar-Jar Binks is still annoying as ever and the Pod race drags on and on and just seeing Anakin as a young boy saying things like "Yippee" and stuff like that is still a little different, but I realize that you have to start somewhere. If you look past all the slight complaints I will say that the 3-D effects blend in well with the movie. Things seem to have more depth to it (well duh, isn't that the whole point) yes but some movies are in 3-D just to be in 3-D or to show off some kind of gimmick. "The Phantom Menace" in 3-D just adds something more to the whole movie experience. ...
