Drinking (New Poem) 8/17/14

Image
Damn, I'm getting old. It's past one a.m. in the morning and I'm still up. Been drinking Moonshine (legal moonshine that is) for most of the night. Good old "Virginia Lightning" 100% corn whiskey (Damn, good stuff). Even though I have to work in the morning I'm still up and feeling fine. No need for sleep.   Oh no. no. no. Not a care in the world. Just listening to the music channels on Direct TV. So many great songs from the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, and of course the 90's. Scribbled and scratched out words in the clear light of day reveal this  late night drunken rambling poem to be completely full of....s....h....i....t.

A Simple Poem About Stuff...Man (New Poem) 4/11/13

Speaking of things that matter and  also  of things that don't matter. (I take that back....speaking of things that only matter). Drinking three beers from Lexington, Virginia.    Vienna Lager from Devil's Backbone Brewing Company. (Wait make that four beers).  Listening to David Bowie on Spotify  and other cool artists.    (Such as the Grateful Dead). One more sip of beer then it's off to bed. Goodnight. (And sleep tight).

Hypocrite (New Poem) 2/16/12

What the hell am I doing?   I need to be out doing things instead of  sitting  here in front of the computer.   What a fucking hypocrite.   Here I am sitting down in a chair, drinking wine,  listening  to music, and looking at stuff on the computer.  While my butt and legs go numb (tingling feeling,  pins  and needles). Damn it, I need to get up.  But it's three o' clock in the morning.   What's the point in getting up now.   I say to myself as I pour another glass of wine.

Jimi Still Rocks: part one and part two (New Poem) 8/13/11

(Part One) Dreaming again. Drinking again. Listening to Jimi Hendrix again. Some things still stay the same again and again. (Part Two) He's on another level, another plane of existence,  he's on or from another planet some people have said. Even though he passed away years and  years ago  his music still lives on. So from this point of view did he really die? No, of course not. Rock on my friend, Rock on. Oh, and one more thing. I would like to say again and again  "Thank You",  "Thank You", "Thank You".
